Assignment 2

The first step in securing ones respective Facebook and Twitter accounts is to enable HTTPS instead of just your basic HTTP, means that you are securing your communication between the server and your computer. All the information delivered to and from your computer is completely secure.  Another step that can be taken is the use of two step authentication or login approvals. Enabling this service you will be required to use the password and security code sent to your mobile device. Finally one of the last things you can do to secure these accounts is by enabling login notifications which notifies you when someone logs in from a suspicious location or computer.
Google plus – is a great online competitor in online social media and has really set the bar for bringing everything on the web together in one location, its ahead of its time and will probably grow exponentially, but right now for me there isn’t enough for me no one I know is on it and I find it has too much stuff, a lot of bulk for the few features I desire and in particular it takes a learning curve to get the hang of it as it has so many features.
Tweet – is a post or status update on twitter
Re tweet – is sharing someone else’s post
@ - a comment aimed at one user, but visible to the public
# - hashtags, words beginning with a #, help keep track of specific conversations
+1 – supposed to get the conversation going, gives your public stamp of approval

Assignment 1

The MacBook Air is one of the slimmest most impressive notebooks in its class. It makes versatile use of its bright LED display and colors; it comes with a larger touchpad to ease the use of its new swipe controls, to accommodate increased user control and also furnishes the greatest portability in its class. However there are some substantial drawbacks to this notebook. The MacBook Air lacks an optical drive so you won’t be able to use any file from CDs or DVDs. Another unfortunate drawback of this computer is it only has one USB port, limiting user connect ability and doesn't allow for user updatability, as the memory isn't replaceable like it is in many other models of laptops and computers.
